If you are a mountain biking enthusiast, you don’t want to miss the action in Pamporovo! The mountains are not just for skiing on around here.

Biking Trails for All Skill Levels

Mountain bikers can choose from 19 biking trails in the Pamporovo Region. The tracks range in difficulty from Beginner to Professional. There is something for everyone here!

What’s more, there is a whole park devoted to the sport! Velo Park located in Pamporovo is the biggest bike park in Bulgaria developed especially for mountain biking. It boasts a total of 35 km of mountain biking tracks catering for all ages and abilities. The trails are full of interesting obstacles and elements, turns and jumps. Bikers can practice on tracks specifically designed for training and building skills. In fact, there is a brand new race track for more riders who are at the Professional skill level. Those who enjoy an extreme challenge can also check out the Bruce Lee (Advanced), the Chuck Norris or The Wall (both Professional). Qualified Bikers are available throughout the Park and can accompany bikers on any of the tracks.

You can access a bike storage at the Studenets Rank situated at #2 Lift. From there, you can choose from a wide range of bikes of various classes and sizes or, of course, you can bring your own!

As of 2016 a new cycling park was opened in Chepelare on Mechi Chal Peak. It boasts biking and hiking trails perfect for those who would like to enjoy the natural beauty of the region. There are facilities with activities for children and adults alike. It is a favourite spot for families to spend the day together.

One of the loveliest trails is The Stoykite, an Absolute Beginner’s track. Lift #2 Studenets (4 chair lift) services this and most other tracks. It is a trail the whole family can enjoy and beautiful Stoikite House is located in the heart of the village. What’s more, we would be happy to help you put a picnic together! At no extra charge, we will pick up some yummy, fresh treats for your day out. If you give us a little notice, a list and cash and we will dash out to the shops for you. Alternatively, you can shop in Smolyan for yourself.
